Dearest Dee, George and I will always remember and appreciate yours and Neil’s warmth and kindness when we visited to accept your generous offer of peaches. The fruit was so delicious, and the visit and hospitality so very enjoyable. Neil even did most of the picking for us, as we took home more than we should, and even shared with family and neighbors. Your family have always remained among the best in our community and we hope you know how deeply we feel blessed to have known Neil. May you, Anna, Chris and your entire family be comforted by wonderful memories of him. With our love and sincere sympathy for your loss, George and Georgia

Neil was always fun at family gatherings. There were three of us the same age so we always gathered together to play, talk, etc. I remember one time at his grandpa's farm we had all played together and walked around the farm. We got in trouble for leaving the yard and building area. We were not little, but the family was very protective of us. At Christmas different times we gathered together and his grandparent's always brought these big oranges as gifts to all of us kids. Neil was always soft spoken when we were younger.

Neil also served on the Colorado Wine Industry Development Board, as chair of the Board, and as chair of the Research Committee, where I had the pleasure of working with him for 8 years. He was such a gentle man, yet such a strong leader. He was a pleasure to work with, and will be sorely missed. Love to his family.

I was fortunate enough to help Neil and family plant his vineyard not long after they moved to the Western Slope, and I have the bottle of wine from those original grapes aging. When I uncork it, it will be a toast to Neil!

Wonderful gentleman. Friendly always, his smile reflected his joy in life. Dearly miss seeing him at the GJGS meetings.
